In 1987, Capland founded Vision Quest Consulting provides executive leadership development coaching, training and consultation for top executives and their management teams. Vision Quest Consulting’s programs and services help leaders leverage themselves increasing their personal and business impact, communications, and strategic relationships. Wendy Capland and her team are experts in developing leaders in organizations. The results are typically dramatic. Wendy brings over 20 years of experience in the human resources, marketing and sales, personal mastery, and organization effectiveness arenas. Her work in the areas of personal and organizational transformation and communication are leading edge, dramatically enhancing results achieved by leaders, executives, and organizations. Wendy is past Chairman and a current member of the Executive Team of the Executive Coaching Summit, a worldwide network of senior executive development experts who are responsible for researching and integrating best practices in the field. She is a founding member of the International Consortium of Coaching in Organizations which creates a global dialogue and research community dedicated to excellence in organizational coaching. 

Wendy has worked with many market leaders, including AT&T, Hale & Dorr, Arthur Andersen, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Bank of America, Unisys, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fidelity Investments, MetLife, OneBeacon Insurance, Wachovia Bank, IDG, Partners Healthcare, Children’s Hospital Boston, and ScotiaBank and hundreds of courageous women changing the world one woman at a time.

Wendy holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Business Management, from Boston College, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She holds a Master Certified Coach certification; the highest international commendation awarded to coaches by the International Coach Federation and is a founding member, board member and Past President of the New England Chapter, the largest chapter worldwide. 

In addition to “Take it to the Top; A Guide to Executive Coaching and Mentoring Programs in America’s Top Corporations”, Wendy writes a popular monthly Leadership Newsletter which is distributed worldwide and has appeared on numerous national radio shows. Wendy’s leadership commentaries have been featured in numerous business journals and she has been a featured speaker at Inc. Magazine's CEO Symposium, New England Council Leadership Forum, The Executive Council, Boston Women’s Network, SIM Northeast Leadership Development Roundtable, and three International Coach Federation annual conferences. She has been a regular “Ask the Leadership” columnist for two insurance industry publications. Wendy was nominated recently for membership in the exclusive National Association for Female Executives and was instrumental in the planning for the 2007 International Coach Federation’s Annual Conference New Learning for Master-level Coach conference track.
